South American says work proceeding on 3 Guyana gold projects

On the Peter’s Mine property, Homestake’s geochemical surveying has defined a gold trend in soils displaying values in excess of 0.5 g gold per tonne (0.014 oz gold per ton). The 4-mile long anomaly is being tested by deep auger drilling and geophysical surveys. A diamond drill hole has also been completed. The core is out for assay.

Auger drilling is also testing a large soil anomaly outlined by Homestake on the Akaiwong property. At Dazier Creek, initial reconnaissance surveys have unearthed 27 shallow pits, tunnels and adits which suggest previous workings by local people were more extensive than was initially believed.

S. A. Goldfields also has an option agreement with Denison Mines (TSE). Denison, which will be exploring several permits held by Goldfields, has set up an office in Guyana and has hired geological staff for its project.

S. A. Goldfields has filed an exchange offering prospectus with the intention of raising $1 million. The cash will come from a unit offering, the price of which remains to be established.
