The first three holes have been completed by Soquem in its exploration program on Corner Bay Minerals’ (TSE) copper property near Chibougamau, Que. These are infill holes on the shear zone which hosts the Main zone.
All three holes were drilled on section 3+00 south. Hole F-006 intersected 7.75% copper across a core length of 7.8 metres at a vertical depth of around 120 metres. Hole F-062 returned 6.62% copper over 2.3 metres at a vertical depth of 50 metres and Hole F-061 yielded 4.54% copper over 2.6 metres at 150 metres below surface.
Previously, the best intersection from this zone was 5.97% copper across 5.1 metres.
Soquem can earn a 30% interest in the property by completing $1.2 million of exploration work prior to Dec. 31. The company can earn a further 20% interest by spending an additional $1.2 million within three years. Soquem has indicated that it will continue drilling on the property.
