Some exploration projects in 1987-88 in Red Lake

The following is a list of exploration in the Red Lake area over the past year and projected activities for 1988. Re-exploring known sites

Much of the exploration activity in 1987 was dedicated to the re-evaluation of formerly producing gold mines and developed prospects. In the Red Lake area these include:

* Jamie Frontier Resources on the Mt. Jamie mine.

* Shane Resources on the West Red Lake, near Bow Narrows.

* Orofino Resources on the Red Crest, northeast of Golden Arm.

* Lac Minerals on the Goldshore and the Hasaga in Red Lake.

* Chevron Canada Resources on Skookum Bay.

* McFinley Red Lake Mines on its property north of Cochenour.

* Lac Minerals continues to examine the Uchi Mine near Uchi Lake.

* Orofino Resources on the Jackson Manion mine near Woman Lake.

* Eastmont Gold Mines on the Bathurst mine near Bathurst Lake, site of the famous “Golden Sidewalk,” nearby, Golden Hat Resources on the Duncan property.

* Golden Terrace Resources on the Kostynuk mine at Richardson Lake.

* Zahavy Mines (now controlled by Noramco Exploration) on the Barens River mine, 128 miles north of Red Lake, near Setting Net Lake.

* Massive Resources and Agassiz Resources on the Twin Gold mine, 192 miles north of Red Lake, on Lingman Lake.
