SMDC/Troymin find gold at Berven project

The Saskatchewan Mining Development Corp.(smdc) has discovered several new gold occurrences with gold mineralization of up to 1.43 oz gold per ton at the Berven Lake project in La Ronge, Sask.

The Berven is one of two blocks, totalling 25,000 ac, which are currently being explored by partners smdc and Alberta-listed Troymin Resources.

Field work is also under way at the Severson Lake block, where a potentially significant new structural zone has been discovered.

According to Troymin which is earning a 50% interest, these select samples from the Berven block were discovered during a summer field program completed on Sept 2.

A follow-up program of bulldozing, stripping and line cutting is now under way on the Road zone, Poppa and Joey showings.

This will be followed by detailed mapping, sampling and magnetic surveying in preparation for a diamond drill program.

The Berven Lake showings are 14 mi southwest of the new Transom Lake discovery. The Transom Lake partners including Goldsil Resources, Golden Rule Resources and smdc, recently reported significant gold intersections obtained in their initial two drill holes.
