A drilling program is being planned by Skylark Resources for the company’s Pan gold property located near Carlin, Nev. The drilling will begin following the completion of a geophysical survey designed to define drill targets.
Skylark’s claims are located southeast of the Ivanhoe gold deposit owned by Galactic and Cornucopia and approximately four miles northwest of the Dee open pit mine on the Carlin trend. Initial geochemical and geophysical surveying has outlined several anomalous areas of gold and mercury. Gold values ranged up to 280 parts per billion, the company reports.
A portion of the property also has surface geology displaying characteristic features of epithermal systems, which were responsible for the genesis of all the major gold deposits along the Carlin trend.
