Siscoe has profit

United Siscoe Mines reports net income of $6,483,000, or $1.72 per share, after extraordinary item, for the six months ended June 30, with a loss of $1,513,000, or 40 cents a share, in the similar period last year.

In the latest period, the company reports a gain on sale of investment of $6,578,000. The extraordinary item was a gain of $675,000, representing reduction of the current period’s income taxes on application of prior years’ losses.

Revenue from petroleum and natural gas in the latest 6-month period fell to $278,000, against $521,000 in the 1985 period.
