Sinclair not a Sutton insider

A recent “Insider Trading” column (“Sutton insiders find spring a good time to sell,” T.N.M., July 14/97) had a catchy headline, but was factually incorrect.

The article stated that James Sinclair was a director of Sutton Resources.

In fact, he resigned as a director on Feb. 26, 1997. At the time Mr. Sinclair traded his shares in March and April, he was not an insider of the company.

Barbara Sinclair has never been an insider or on the board of Sutton Resources. She does own, however, more than 10% of the shares.
