Silver Standard execs cash in options

Recent insider trading transactions reported by the Ontario Securities Commission in its OSC Bulletin include the following:

Aurora Platinum (ARP-V) — Michael Winn, director, exercised 37,500 options at 77 apiece and sold 10,000 shares at $2.18 or $2.44 to hold 237,600 shares and 50,000 options; and Exploration Capital Partners, which must report its transactions by virtue of owning more than 10% of the company, sold 216,300 shares at $2.59-3.30 to hold 2.9 million shares.

Darnley Bay Resources (DBL-V) — Gordon Bongard, director, bought 60,000 treasury shares at 25 and was granted 1.5 million rights plus 60,000 warrants to replace ones that had expired, to hold those same numbers of rights and warrants, plus 1.1 million shares.

Fort Knox Gold Resources (FNX-T) — Robert Cudney, director, bought 11,500 shares at 80-85 to hold 150,000 shares; and Northfield Capital, owner of more than 10%, bought 8,500 shares at 80 or 90 to hold 2.4 million shares.

Gammon Lake Resources (GAM-T) — Fred George, director, bought 51,000 shares at 33-38 and sold 286,000 shares at 30-53 to hold 1.1 million shares; and Terry Coughlan, director, sold 7,000 shares at 50 or 52 to hold 392,800 shares.

Millstream Mines (YLI-V) — Robert Chase, director, sold 10,000 shares at 11 to hold 464,000 shares; and Bruce Hauser, director, bought 1.4 million shares privately at 10 and another 70,000 shares in the open market at 7 to hold 2.3 million shares.

Nuinsco Resources (NWI-T) — Stuart Averill, director, sold 66.3 shares at 34-37 to hold 103,000 shares.

Pure Gold Minerals (PUG-T) — Donald Sheldon, director, sold 597,500 shares at 12 to hold 2.9 million shares.

Silver Standard Resources (SSO-V) — Robert Quartermain, director, exercised 171,147 options at $1.90 or $2.09 plus 100,000 warrants at $1.50 and sold 171,147 shares at $3.05-3.42 plus 22,500 shares at US$2.07-2.15 to hold 502,222 options, 25,000 warrants and 167,200 shares; Robert Davis, director, exercised 13,000 options at $2.09 and sold the resulting shares at $3.32-3.42 to hold 92,790 options; David Johnston, director, exercised 13,000 options at $1.90 and sold 11,996 shares at an unspecified price to hold 93,935 options and 1,004 shares; and Ross Mitchell, officer, exercised 16,000 options at $2.09 plus 5,000 warrants at $1.50 and sold 16,000 shares at $3.04-3.42 to hold 136,638 options and 12,000 warrants.

Wallbridge Mining (WM-T) — Darryl Sittler, director, received 250,000 shares as a gift to hold 450,000 shares.

Wolfden Resources (YWO-V) — Euan Downie, director and owner of more than 10%, bought 27,000 shares at 39 or 40 to hold 406,488 shares; and Donald Sheldon, officer, exercised 50,000 options at 20 to hold 62,500 shares and 15,000 options.
