Silver Glance awaits assays Drilling tests for fluorite-silver

Assay results are awaited by Silver Glance Resources (VSE) for the first 36 holes drilled on the company’s fluorite-silver property in La Paz Cty. in Arizona.

Silver Glance director Peter Fox notes that assay results for this type of mineralization take longer than normal (for example, for gold-silver assays), but would be released as soon as results are received by the company. The drilling program is aimed at proving up an open pit deposit that could become a domestic supply of acid-grade fluorite (acidspar), a mineral that is attracting increased attention because of its potential for use as an ozone-benign feedstock to replace chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). This goal has become more important now that the U.S. government has accelerated phase-out deadlines for CFCs.

To date, about 7,000 ft. of reverse circulation drilling has been completed, with 28 holes on the Black Rock deposit and eight holes on the Padre Kino zone. About 6,000 ft. comprising some 30 holes remains to

be done.

Based on visual results, the company says drilling to date shows the Black Rock zone to be much larger than originally thought. The eight holes completed on the Padre Kino fluorite deposit one mile north of Black Rock are reported to have all returned significant intersections of fluorite-bearing rock over 20-to-40 ft. widths.

The remaining drilling will focus on extensions to the Silver King, Princess and State zones, as well as a new test on the Maxie II, together with recovering metallurgical samples from the Amelia and Revelation deposits. Before the drill program began, the Silver Glance property was reported to host 4 million tons grading 5 oz. silver per ton, and including 1.8 million tons of acidspar-quality rock grading 14% fluorite.
