Sikaman uncovers wollastonite deposit

Extensive wollastonite mineralization has recently been identified in the Tonopah district of Nevada. According to Sikaman Gold Resources (TSE), the wollastonite mineralization meets industrial standards, and preliminary tests indicate that a marketable product can be produced from the deposit. Diamond and reverse circulation drilling on Sikaman’s prospect has confirmed widespread wollastonite mineralization to a depth of 500 ft. Follow-up drilling will attempt to establish a minimum of two million tons of material grading more than 50% wollastonite.

Wollastonite is an industrial mineral used in ceramics, plastics, paint and metallurgical fluxes and as a replacement for asbestos in many products.
