SGS Minerals Services has opened a new sample preparation lab in Guerrero, Mexico, to help process the large volume of samples for its full service lab in Durango, Mexico.
The new facility will have the equipment to crush, pulverize, oven-dry and collect dust from the samples before shipping them off to the full service lab.
The Guerrero lab will also function as a gateway to other SGS services throughout North America.
The facility will begin accepting samples in July. Founded in 1878, SGS operates over 1,000 offices and labs worldwide.
