A full-day workshop entitled Seafloor Hydrothermal Sulphides and Deep-Sea Drilling is being staged by the Toronto Geological Discussion Group. Scheduled for April 14, the session will take place in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre starting at 8:30 a.m.
Speakers at the workshop will include Steven Scott, University of Toronto; Richard Chase, University of British Columbia; and James Franklin, Geological Survey of Canada, to name a few. Topics which will be examined by the speakers and their graduate students include sea-floor deposits with special reference to gold, ocean drilling and the massive sulphide deposits of Cyprus.
