Vancouver – Resource definition drilling on Scorpio Mining‘s (SPM-V) Nuestra Senora deposit in Mexico, highlights the new bulk-tonnage potential there. The company is particularly excited by results from hole 24, in which a 22.3 metre intersection returned 269.3 grams silver, 1.12% copper, 2.33% lead and 5.19% zinc.
Scorpio latest drill results support the company’s planned production scenerio which will involve blending the ores from the Nuestra Senora and Candelaria deposits. Metallurgical testwork is under way on a bulk sample with representative material from both deposits.
The latest results from holes 20-23, targeted and tentatively define the narrower, outer edges of the lens-shaped mineralized manto bodies of the deposit. The zones at Nuestra Senora remain open at depth.
The company plans to advance the proposed ramp in the area where condemnation drill holes NSS-14 to 19 and 22 failed to turn up significant mineralization.
Surface drilling of 6,543 metres has been completed at Nuestra Senora and underground development work totals 184 metres of 5 metres x 3.5 metre portal and ramp advance, 12 metres of re-muck bays and 26.4 metres in crosscuts.
