Santa Maria gets new gold property

The property is located west of the town of Pickle Lake, and is underlain by the same greenstone belt that hosts the Golden Patricia mine owned by Bond Gold Canada Inc.

Santa Maria, which owns another group of 29 claims in the same belt, says a number of gold zones and a zinc anomaly are present on the newly acquired Muskeg Lake property.

Gordon Plaskett, president, says the company will proceed immediately to arrange financing for a comprehensive exploration program on the 174-claim property.

Shares of Santa Maria Resources have traded at a low of 7 cents recently on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
