Favorable results have been obtained from preliminary exploration of Keylock Resources’ (ASE) gold property in the Slovak Republic.
The program consisted of mapping, trenching, channel and chip sampling of outcrops and underground faces and soil sampling over six former producing veins.
In the Kopanice area, chip samples of quartz veins in outcrop returned values of 24.5 grams gold and 274 grams silver per tonne over 1.1 metres, and 12 grams gold and 244 grams silver over 1.6 metres.
Soil samples collected over the interpreted extension of these veins yielded values of up to 940 parts per billion gold and 38.5 parts per million silver. The second structure, known as the Barenleuten Vein, has been traced on surface for a distance of more than 400 metres, with assay values of up to 9.5 grams gold and 446 grams silver. This zone also has a coincident soil anomaly up to 40 metres wide.
Work is continuing and further assays are expected shortly.
