Vancouver – Rye Patch Gold (RPM-V) intercepted areas of high-grade gold within a broader stockwork zone at its Lincoln Hill property.
The higher grades in the stockwork zone at Lincoln Hill, about 160 km northeast of Reno, Nevada, appear to be controlled by northeast trending structures, Rye Patch says.
Rye Patch singled out two holes in particular to illustrate the relationship. Hole LRC-2, exemplifying the high grade zone, hit 16 metres grading 9.54 grams gold per tonne starting 19 metres downhole in a series of veins and veinlets.
Hole 3, showing disseminated gold in the stockwork zone, hit 33 metres grading 1.07 grams gold starting 48 metres downhole.
Rye Patch says it believes that its LRC-2 intercept is representative of true width as veins and veinlets run perpendicular to the axis of the drillhole core.
The drillhole results will form the basis of a resource estimate Rye Patch plans on completing for Lincoln Hill. Rye Patch says it considers the Lincoln Hill project a bulk-tonnage target.
Beyond Lincoln Hill, the latest batch of drillhole results also tested the historic Ourofino mine area on the property. But Rye Patch says those returned “disappointing results”.
Rye Patch, which focuses on exploration in Nevada where it is advancing several exploration projects, owns 100% of the Lincoln Hill property.
On news of the drillhole results Rye Patch’s shareprice dropped 5¢ to 28.5¢. It has about 65 million shares outstanding.
