Hole 11 returned an average grade of 4.9% zinc and 0.03% copper, plus 2.98 oz. silver and 0.02 oz. gold per ton, starting at a down-hole depth of 621 ft. Included in this interval was a 5.3-ft. of 6.37% zinc, 0.09% copper, 3.9 oz. silver and 0.02 oz. gold. Additional stinger mineralization, hosted in highly altered rhyolitic volcanics, was intersected at a down-hole depth of 814 ft. Assays from this portion of the hole are still pending.
Hole 11 was drilled on the same pad as, and 240 ft. downdip of, previously reported hole 10, which had returned 15 ft. grading 4.01% zinc, 0.4% copper and 0.46 oz. silver.
A third drill hole, No. 12, is reported to have intersected 8.3 ft. of massive sulphides containing visual sphalerate and chalcopyrite, though assays are still pending. Hole 12 was collared on the same pad as holes 10 and 11 but drilled at an angle of minus 50. Mineralization was intersected 180 ft. updip of the strong stringer mineralization that was intersected in hole 10.
To date, Rubicon has intersected sulphide mineralization in the RW zone over a dip length of 420 ft.
A new drill pad is being built 402 ft. north and 170 ft. east of the previous drill setup. Rubicon intends to drill downdip and along strike of the RW zone.
The RW zone is in a previously unexplored region, about 600 ft. from the Little Jarvis showing and 1,600 ft. from the Upper Main zone showing. The RW structure is a flat, mineralized corridor that connects the two showings.
Rubicon has $800,000 in its treasury and 17.1 million shares fully diluted.
