Rouyn Mining part of research effort

Rouyn Mining Resources (TSE) has joined forces with the Quebec Industrial Research Centre in an effort to improve the efficiency in mining methods of vein type deposits. The pair will build a movable platform to be used in difficult incline stopes between 30-40 degrees . The goal of the project, Rouyn President Jean-Guy Rivard says, is to increase safety and reduce physical effort for the workers while increasing mining efficiency. Helping to fund the project is Quebec’s ministry of energy and resources.

Rouyn has a 50% interest in the Francoeur gold project, west of Rouyn-Noranda, Que.
