Rouyn has revenues

Ore is being hoisted up the No 6 shaft at a rate of 450 tons per day. A new 3-compartment shaft to a depth of 2,684 ft was completed in June at a cost of $10 million.

The new shaft, combined with the development of six new mining levels, will enable Rouyn to increase production to 1,000 tons per day by the end of 1990. In November, Rouyn closed a $5.2- million financing which will enable the company to fund its share of on-going development costs. LAC Minerals holds the remaining 50% interest in the mine.
