ROM raises $1.1 million

Pledges and donations worth $1.1 million have been received to construct the mineralogy and geology sections of the McLaughlin Earth Sciences Gallery at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM). The project is expected to cost $5 million.

A recent reception was held at the ROM to honor the donors. They include American Barrick Resources, Dickenson Mines, Falconbridge Ltd., Hemlo Gold Mines, Inco Ltd., Rio Algom, the Perren family and the McLaughlin Foundation.
