A new zone at least 1,400 ft long was discovered last year a few hundred feet above a previously investigated pyrite zone at the Joutel property in northwestern Quebec being explored by Robex Resources (ME) and Veinor Resources (ME).
Among the results of the drilling were 10 ft of 0.18 oz gold per ton, 5 ft of 0.11 oz and 3.5 ft of 0.04 oz. Robex owns 60% of the property, and Veinor 40%.
At the Venus property (Veinor 75%, Robex 25%) in Barraute Twp., two auriferous zones about 1,200 ft long, containing values up to 0.43 oz across 1.6 ft, have been discovered, the companies report.
Also, Robex reports a production decision is likely this year at its Upton property in Quebec’s Eastern Twps., where barite and zinc mineralization has been found. Barite’s main market is drill mud, and it also has application in the manufacture of rubber, glass, explosives, ink and paint.
