Rio Amarillo drills Chachacomiri

Diamond drilling on the Chachacomiri silver-gold-tin property near Potosi, Bolivia, should be completed by March.

Partners Rio Amarillo Mining (VSE) and Cominco Resources International (TSE) expect to have drilled 2,500 metres.

Cominco Resources is earning a 60% interest by spending US$1.2 million by June 30, 1996. The company must also pay US$1.6 million by June 30, 1997, and complete a bankable feasibility study by June 30, 1998. A further US$5 million is payable at the point of a production decision.

Geological mapping and geochemical sampling outlined anomalous zones covering 5 sq. km. The drilling will test the anomalies that are coincident with an induced-polarization anomaly and with favorable rock types.
