Rex tests Mauritanian pipes

Rex Diamond Mining (RXD-T) is testing targets at its wholly owned diamond properties in Mauritania, West Africa.

The company recently found a third kimberlite in the Tenoumer permit. Grab samples from one of the kimberlites has shown it to be diamond-bearing; however, drilling is required to provide a more representative sample. Another pipe was found to be barren, and no work has been done on the newly discovered target.

Rex is currently drilling the Touajil area, where diamond indicator minerals have been found, as well as microdiamonds and macrodiamonds. A geophysical survey over the area has delineated five well-defined dipolar anomalies, which have since been confirmed by ground geophysics. Drilling of these targets is expected to begin shortly.

Rex holds exploration permits totalling 100,000 sq. km covering four distinct diamond provinces in the African nation.
