Revisions to Mining Indices

The Northern Miner has revised the list of companies that make up its North American Mining Index and Small Producers Index.

The North American Mining Index is calculated from a weighted average of the prices of 12 major North American metal producers.

The Small Producers Index is calculated from a weighted average of the prices of 24 companies that have producing mines and market capitalizations of between $20 million and $200 million. Claude Resources (CRJ-T) has been added to the index, replacing Campbell Resources (CCH-T) and Sunshine Mining & Refining (SSFC-O), whose market capitalizations fell below $20 million.
