Early drill results are available from the Wrightbar gold mine property in Quebec’s Bourlamaque Twp.
Lithos (ME) dewatered the workings at the former-producing mine early in 1995, and, by December, had mined 65,000 tons. Recovered grades rose 15% over the year, to 0.27 oz. gold per ton.
The company will drive a 400-ft. drift perpendicular to the mineralized veins in order to drill additional holes and thereby recalculate reserves.
Meanwhile, Quebec’s department of natural resources has granted $350,000 to Lithos, and this, along with $1.8 million raised from a common share issue, will finance work on the West zone.
The company will install electrical and production equipment, construct surface installations, prepare stopes and carry out diamond drilling.
