Reserves estimated at Leckie by Stroud and Lacana Mining

Exploration work by partners Lacana Mining Corp. and Stroud Resource s has enabled the companies to calculate a reserve figure for their Leckie gold property. Located north of Temagami, Ont., the Leckie property hosts drill- indicated reserves of 119,000 tons grading 0.15 oz gold per ton to a depth of 500 ft.

Drilling by Stroud has cut a wide mineralized zone averaging 27 ft in width. Gold mineralization is associated with a silicified shear zone striking for at least 1,500 ft.

Results from three drill holes completed during this season’s program include 24.4 ft grading 0.114 oz in hole 24, and hole 25 which cut 36 ft assaying 0.1 oz. Both holes include narrower sections of higher grading material. Lacana, which has the right to earn a 70% interest, is funding the exploration work.
