Repadre falls short in diamond search

A 33-hole (3,965-metre) reverse circulation drilling program recently completed at the joint-venture prospect in Botswana of Repadre Capital (VSE) has failed to intersect any kimberlite intrusives, a common host rock for diamonds.

The company says it will now consider a widespread soil sampling program designed to pin-point the source of anomalous concentrations of kimberlite minerals, including chrome diopside, recently found in the area.

Repadre, a subsidiary of International Corona (TSE), has a joint-venture agreement with AMPAL, a Botswana-based company, to explore the 850,000-hectare prospecting licence. More than $1.2 million has been spent to date on exploration.
