Redfern winds down Tulsequah Chief drilling in B.C.

Drilling at the Tulsequah Chief and Big Bull projects in northwestern British Columbia has finished for the year. The result, says Redfern Resources (TSE), is that the potential of Big Bull has been confirmed and confidence in Tulsequah increased.

Following infill drilling at Tulsequah, Redfern anticipates a significant increase in grade. At last report, minable reserves were estimated at 7.7 million tons grading 6.42% zinc, 1.4% copper, 1.07% lead, 0.07 oz. gold and 2.72 oz. silver per ton.

Drill results are to be fully evaluated in the new year, at which time the reserve figure for Tulsequah will be revised.

President John Greig said drilling at Big Bull was widely spaced, covering a strike length of about 3,000 ft. and extending up to 800 ft. in depth. He added that more work is planned for Big Bull in 1994, with mineralization remaining open on strike and to depth.

In addition, the company plans to move Tulsequah closer to a production decision.

Redfern has about $2 million in working capital and Greig said the company will likely raise more funds next spring.
