Vancouver — Assays are in hand for the first two holes of a drill program at the Tulsequah Chief mine property, near Atlin in northwestern British Columbia.
Redfern Resources, a wholly owned unit of
Hole 93 returned a 5.5-metre intersection grading 2.22 grams gold and 85.2 grams silver per tonne, plus 0.66% copper, 0.92% lead and 6.86% zinc.
Hole 94 returned a 12.4-metre intersection of 2.19 grams gold, 75.2 grams silver, 1.43% copper, 1.84% lead and 9.97% zinc.
An underground program is under way, and Redfern reports that a drill station is being established to allow for targeting of the downdip extension of the deposit. Drill results will be used to update the resource estimate later this year.
At last report, Tulsequah Chief hosted a measured and indicated resource of 5.9 million tonnes grading 2.59 grams gold and 107.41 grams silver per tonne, plus 1.42% copper, 1.26% lead and 6.72% zinc. The project also has an inferred resource of 3 million tonnes grading 2.42 grams gold, 107.86 grams silver, 1.1% copper, 1.9% lead and 6.38% zinc.
