Recent expand gold zone at Total Energold project

Recent drilling by Total Energold (TSE) on Northway Explorations’ (TSE) Noyon Twp. gold claims in northwestern Quebec has expanded the potential of the property’s RJ zone. Hole 102, which probed a western extension of the RJ zone, intersected 0.42 oz. gold per ton over 11.8 ft. at a depth of around 900 ft. The new hole extends the zone’s potential strike length by about 656 ft. to the west where a previous hole intersected 0.26 oz. over 16.7 ft.

The property is part of a larger joint venture in which Total Energold and Morrison Minerals (TSE) are earning a 60% interest in 366 claims held by Northway, Jonpol Explorations (TSE), T & H Resources (TSE) and Perrex Resources (ASE). The joint venture calls for expenditures of $4.25 million up to May 1, 1994.

To date, Total and Morrison have completed a $450,000 program of airborne EM, IP and preliminary diamond drilling on the 366 claims. The properties are underlain by the same stratigraphy as the adjacent Vezza gold deposit and the nearby Douay Twp. gold discoveries of Inco (TSE), Vior (ME) and Cambior (TSE).

A second follow-up drill program with more stepout holes on the RJ zone is planned this month, according to Northway. A new sulphide- bearing alteration zone on the Jonpol-Perrex claims will also be tested, the company said.
