Drilling is under way at Rayrock Yellowknife Resources’ (TSE) Dee gold property in Nevada.
The company is testing 10 deep sulphide targets in the Dee pit area. The first hole will test the contact between the Bootstrap and Roberts Mountain formations at a depth of about 1,600 ft.
In 1992, drilling intersected refractory, carbonaceous, sulphide mineralization, 300 ft. below the pit floor. Some of the better intersections were 0.75 oz. gold per ton over 95 ft. and 0.32 oz. over 65 ft.
The current program will test the westerly downdip projection of the Dee fault zone, the contact between the Bootstrap and Roberts Mountain formations, an area south of the pit along the DX structure, and other targets in the northwestern and southern portions of the property.
The program is expected to last four months, and the first results should be available in late July.
