Rayrock delay in drilling Carlin may be blessing

It could be several weeks yet before Rayrock Yellowknife Resources, as operator of the Dee Gold project in Nevada, commences the deep drilling program from its open pit at the north end of the prolific Carlin belt, David R. Crombie, the company’s president and chief executive officer tells The Northern Miner. (See story in Feb. 15 issue).

This delay could prove something of a blessing. For the drill rig scheduled for the job, working on another Cordex Syndicate gold property elsewhere in Nevada that was to be wound down, suddenly started to get some more interesting findings requiring at least some follow-up drilling.
