With six holes now complete on the Campo Seco gold property in Calaveras Cty., Calif., Consolidated Ramrod Gold (TSE) plans to bring a second drill on to the property.
Last October, the company reported that trenching had encountered two gold-bearing structures traversing the property over several thousand feet. The initial drill hole, L-1, intersected three zones of alteration consisting of quartz veining and quartz stockwork. Holes L-2, L-3 and L-4 were drilled on three other separate anomalies while holes L-5 and L-6 were drilled 100 ft. west and east respectively of discovery hole L-1.
The company is moving a second rig on to the property and should begin a second drilling program shortly.
The program is budgeted at 4,500 ft. and includes a fence of holes 200 ft. to the north and 200 ft. to the south of holes L-1, L-5 and L-6 to test the strike extent of the zone.
Assay results for hole L-5 have not yet been released while results from the remaining holes are as follows:
