Radisson drilling Douay property

Diamond drilling has started on the Douay Twp., Que., property held by Radisson Resources. Located near Joutel, the property is being tested by 5,000-ft program designed to define the dimensions of a gold-bearing zone averaging 65 ft in width, the company says. Previous exploration results yielded gold values up to 0.16 oz gold per ton.

The Radisson property covers a section of the Douay fault; a structure believed to be associated with a nearby undeveloped gold deposit controlled by Inco Ltd. Also in Douay Twp., the Inco deposit hosts reserves of 247,000 tons grading 0.3 oz gold per ton.
