The first drill hole completed by Pure Gold Resources on the company’s Keezhik Lake property has intersected gold mineralization. Hole KL-86-1 cut 6.6 ft grading 0.375 oz gold per ton from 114.8 ft-121.4 ft and a 3.2-ft section assaying 0.061 oz from 219.8 ft-223 ft, the company says.
The drilling, Pure Gold says, confirms the depth extension of a surface gold discovery which assayed 0.5 oz across 6.6 ft. The zone is characterized by a 1,900-ft-long geophysical conductor.
Located northwest of Fort Hope, Ont., the property is held under option from Severide Resources. The latter company can earn a 100% interest in the property and Pure Gold can earn 50% from Severide upon making an expenditure of $461,600 by Feb 28, 1988. Fort Hope is a small settlement accessible by aircraft.
