Kirkton Resources (CDN) has received some encouraging results from a recently completed trenching and sampling program on its Shunsby base metal prospect in the Swayze greenstone belt southwest of Timmins, Ont.
Sampling several showings on the property, Kirkton encountered mineralized zones grading up to 3.53% copper and 0.52% zinc. Zinc-rich zones returned assays as high as 10.77% zinc, 2.76% lead, and 0.75% copper. Inferred widths range from 3 to 26 ft.
Kirkton says it plans to test some of the best targets during an upcoming drilling program.
