Production record at Sterling mine

The Sterling gold mine, owned 52% by Cathedral Gold (TSE), turned out 14,109 oz. gold in 1992, the most in its 12 year life.

Cash costs increased to US$298 per oz. from US$264 per oz. in 1991, when 12,215 oz. gold was produced.

Geological reserves at the Beatty, Nev., mine are 527,000 tons grading 0.18 oz. gold per ton, down from 765,000 tons of 0.18 oz. gold a year ago. Cathedral is continuing to explore the deposit to expand reserves. It is also exploring its Trendline property, in Nevada’s Battle Mountain trend. One hole in the 4-hole program at Trendline did not encounter any significant gold, the company reports.
