ProAm explores target near Winnipeg

Junior ProAm Explorations (PMX-V) will test a large, aeromagnetic anomaly near Winnipeg, Man., for platinum, palladium, nickel and copper.

ProAm describes the 24-by-11-km aeromagnetic signature as “typical of a basic-to-ultrabasic intrusive complex, similar to major platinum resources such as the Stillwater or the Bushveld complexes.” The anomaly lies on the western extension of the suture between the English River gneissic belt and the Winnipeg River batholithic belt, and is overlain by a shallow cover of sedimentary rocks.

The first phase of the exploration project will involve high-resolution magnetic and gravity surveys designed to refine original data and identify drill targets.
