Pro-or finds gold, chromium showings

Nine new gold and two new chromium showings have been discovered by Pro-or Mining Resources’ prospecting team at the Menarik property in the James Bay area of Quebec. The property is located within 7 km of the road leading to the James Bay hydroelectric complex.

Among the new gold finds, grab samples from showing No 8 returned the best results, running between 0.27 oz gold per ton and 0.41 oz. Results from the chromium content of the two new chromite beds are awaited from the laboratory. Results for palladium and platinum are available, however, and they show a combined palladium- platinum grade of 0.03 oz per ton in one of two horizons; one chromite bed found previously had a combined grade of 0.05 oz.
