Princeton lands provincial approval for Huckleberry

Regulators finally have approved development plans for the Huckleberry copper deposit near Smithers, B.C.

Princeton Mining (TSE) had expected to receive the approval by early September, but the procedure had to be delayed so that the concerns of a local First Nations group could be addressed.

In a prepared statement, Moe Sihota, minister of Environment, Lands and Parks, said: “All concerns raised during the review process have been adequately addressed, and ongoing monitoring will ensure the development continues to meet project approval certificate conditions.”

The Huckleberry project is a joint venture between Princeton and Mitsubishi Materials Corp. of Japan.
