Power estimates 2.9 million tons at Kasagiminnis

Power Explorations(TSE) says preliminary calculations for its Kasagiminnis Lake property in the Pickle Lake area of northwestern Ontario indicate 2,866,000 tons of mineral reserves grading 0.14 oz gold-per-ton to a depth of 1,000 ft.

Included in those calculations is 1,100,000 tons grading 0.19 oz.

While it is too early to determine the economic feasibility of the property, President Harry Hodge says there is a strong structure with persistent mineralization over a 40-ft width.

The company also reports a new discovery on its Dobie River property in the same general area about seven miles west of St. Joe Minerals’ Golden Patricia property. Power has a 25% interest in the property, North American Rare Metals(ME) has a 25% interest and Osisko Lake Mines(TSE) has a 50% interest.

Power is one of the most active exploration companies in the Pickle Lake area.
