Polestar outlines platinum anomalies

Anomalous zones of nickel, copper and platinum group metals values have been identified by Polestar Exploration on the company’s Kluane Lake claims in the Yukon. A stripping program is under way in addition to follow up geochemical sampling.

In Manitoba, Polestar, in joint venture with Almaden Resources, is exploring the Falcon Lake property. The exploration target is a 10-km-long iron formation unit which has never been assayed for gold. At Utik Lake, also in Manitoba, the company and Westmin Resources have completed a 36-hole drill program. Gold assayed ranging from 3-5 g per tonne were cut by four of the holes. Widths averaged one metre.

Polestar has granted an option to Remida Resources on its Orca gold play in California. Remida can earn a 51% interest by spending $300,000 on exploration over a 3-year option period.
