Pillar potential encourages Dynacor at Siscoe property

Recovery of gold from a surface pillar at the old Siscoe mine property near Val d’Or, Que., is estimated to be more than 2,000 oz., Mines Dynacor (ME) says.

Drilling and channeling this summer in the mine pillar of the C vein returned an average grade of 1.46 oz. gold per ton from 1,375 tons of material.

The mineralized zone is open along 200 ft. to the north, which the company says increases the potential for a greater recovery of the precious metal. The company is hoping to prove up reserves for an open-pit operation that would include surface pillars such as the C vein pillar.
