Toronto-based geophysical consultants Paterson, Grant & Watson, in collaboration with the University of Leeds Industrial Services and the Department of Earth Sciences at Leeds have started a 3-year, $4.2-million project designed to bring together all available aeromagnetic and marine magnetic data for the continent and its margins.
The project, which is sponsored by seven major mining, oil and gas companies, will complement a recently completed compilation of gravity data for Africa.
