Vancouver-based Pentland Firth Ventures (ASE) has intersected gold mineralization on its Allerston property in Timmins, Ont. The project is adjacent to, and west of, the Bell Creek mine.
Two of three Pentland holes intersected visible gold in quartz veins which are associated with grey alteration. All the intersections (the best of which averaged 3.02 oz. per ton over 1.6 ft.) are thought to represent the extension of the NEZ III vein. Assays from the third hole are pending.
The NEZ III is the northernmost of three northeast-trending veins identified by Kinross Gold (TSE) on the Bell Creek property. Kinross’s drill intersection is 250 ft. east of the Allerston-Bell Creek boundary. All three NEZ veins remain open along strike on property owned by Pentland, southwest of Bell Creek.
Pentland, which will soon list its common shares and warrants on the Toronto Stock Exchange, has three drills working within one-half mile of the Bell Creek mill.
