Pele to test geophysical targets

A review of government-flown surveys by an independent geophysical firm has resulted in the identification of eight priority targets and 12 secondary targets on ground held by Pele Mountain Resources (PELE-C) near Wawa, Ont.

The information produced by this work prompted the junior to stake 78 additional claims in the region, thereby boosting its holdings to more than 10,000 acres.

Subsequent ground geophysics carried out over one of the high-priority targets showed it was coincident with a small circular lake and associated with a fault structure. This same fault intersects a nearby target that was previously tested with five drill holes. About 9 kg of this material were analyzed by De Beers in South Africa. It was found to contain diamond indicator minerals, including G10 garnets, ilmenites, spinel and others. Pele says it is analyzing the results in preparation for follow-up programs.
