Pele drills Ardeen

Junior Pele Mountain Resources (gem-v) will sink two holes at its Ardeen project, near Thunder Bay, Ont., to test for high-grade gold mineralization.

The first is targeting a geophysical anomaly outlined near the intersection of two known gold-bearing shear zones. One, dubbed Pele, widens to much as 10 metres and is considered an extension of a vein system that was briefly mined in the late 19th century.

The second hole will be stepped out 700-800 metres to the east to test the Pele structure, where previous drilling returned up to 33.3 grams over 1.45 metres. Mineralization there also is hosted by quartz veins.
