Pegasus reports record nine month earnings

Record earnings are reported by Pegasus Gold for the first nine months of 1987. Profits rose to $11,060,000 or 54 cents per share on sales of $70,394,000; up from $1,989,000 or 15 cents per share on sales of $22,914,000 for the same period last year.

Third quarter profits amounted to $7,029,000 (30 cents per share) on sales of $34,884,000, compared to $1,671,000 (12 cents per share) on sales of $12,471,000 for the third quarter of 1986.

Gold production for the nine months totalled 158,400 oz, up from 62,500 oz in 1986.
