PDAC seeks nominations

The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) is seeking nominations to its board.

The board is responsible for the overall governance and stewardship of the association and for approving the PDAC’s position on all major issues.

The 48-member board represents a broad spectrum of professions making up the mineral industry and, as far as possible, geographic regions in this country. Directors are elected at the PDAC’s annual convention in March and serve for three years.

Nominations must be delivered to the PDAC no later than Dec. 15, 2006 and be supported by six PDAC members in good standing.

And those being nominated must be PDAC members and consent in writing to serve as a director.

Nominations should be addressed to the Secretary of the Association, 34 King Street East, 9th Floor, Toronto, Ont., M5C 2X8.

Of note, faxed nominations will be accepted, provided that the original is delivered to the above address within 10 days of the date of the faxed nomination and no later than Dec. 15, 2006.
