Need to know more about the finding, development and financing of mines in Canada?
The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada is aiming to fill the gaps in knowledge on these subjects, through special seminars to be mounted in Toronto on the evenings of Nov 7 and Nov 9.
The two seminars will be held in the visitors’ centre auditorium at the Toronto Stock Exchange, 2 First Canadian Place. They will be of special interest, the PDAC says, to brokerage house representatives, accountants, bankers, lawyers, investors and junior mining company officers.
Senior mining and financial executives will conduct the seminars. The first of them, on Nov 7, will cover the mine pre-production stage, with addresses on subjects ranging from a general introduction, to mine finding and methods, exploration financing, and mine proving.
The Nov 9 seminar will concern the production stage, from mine financing to mine making (mineral economics, management and profitability) and conclude with the outlook for the mining industry in Canada, and some case histories and “characters.”
Each session will run from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with a buffet-style light supper each night.
Details (on speakers, etc.) will be available in September. The PDAC suggests early registration, as space will be limited to the first 140 registered.
Contact the PDAC at Suite 1002, 74 Victoria St., Toronto, Ont. M5C 2A5.
